When I first visited the Philippines and then later moved here, I did a lot of traveling around and in that time I had my share of horrible hotels and some amazing hotels. In this blog I will list out the cities and islands that I have traveled to and what hotels and resorts I have really enjoyed. My hope is that this will be an active thread where other people can list their favorite hotels and resorts that they have traveled to in the Philippines. Through this hopefully others won’t have to experience booking hotels and resorts that they will regret booking.

Valuable information! How about Dumaguete hotels ? Thx
I just updated it now with Dumaguete, thanks 🙂
Wonderful! thanks Gio. Appreciate all your hard-work and efforts.
Definitely not the Sogo in Caloocan, Manila. No windows and bad wifi and no cell signal inside the room. Staff was nice and the place was clean. It’s an emergency stay only in my book.
Thank you Jim
Santiago Bay Garden and Resort on Camtoes island.
Great location with amazing views of the bay. The pricepoint for what you get is unmatched
Awesome, thank you.
I just stayed at Greenleaf Hotel, Gensan. Amazing
Hey Gio, long time subscriber here, I’m looking for a nice and in expensive apartment in Duma, any recommendations, I’m planning on staying a year
How soon before you arrive?
Definitely ShangriLa in Mactan Newtown. Absolutely beautiful. Even if you only get a day pass to visit the grounds it is worth it. From a beautiful beach to multiple pools that are well maintained and very clean. Even with many people staying there you can find places where you are alone with the beauty of the area. So many places to explore and activities to do. Definitely recommend it. Especially during the week when it is not crowded.
Absolutely, very beautiful place.
